Those Three Words Again (Prev. Unreleased Demo)

from Aquatorium (Demos and Rare Tracks) (Remastered) by Elegant Simplicity

about

Would you believe it, another track that didn't make it onto ‘The Nature Of Change’!

I have always liked this song, but this version was never used as there was not enough room and there is also a slight bit of hiss in the vocal section.

Recorded October 1995.

lyrics

Tonight is the last night of our lives
We are together
Asleep in each others arms

And when I wake up
You’ll expect me to say ‘I love you’
But I won’t, cos I feel tired
I won’t, cos I’ve grown tired

I don’t care about the ground under your feet
And I don’t care about the past
But one thing’s for certain
One thing’s for sure
I’m not gonna say those three words any more
I’m not gonna say those three words any more

Next to me you are so warm
I feel safe and so at home
I’m not gonna tell you how nice you looked tonight
Not gonna tell you at all

But then again I might
It seems the darkest night
Wants to shroud me in your love
But I’ve grown tired
Yes I’ve grown tired

Look at me, I ‘m taking flight
Leaving everything I knew behind me
I’m holding on and gaining ground
I’m leaving you
I won’t stay, cos I feel tired
I won’t stay, cos I’ve grown tired
