It's Only Water (Prev. Unreleased)

from Aquatorium (Demos and Rare Tracks) (Remastered) by Elegant Simplicity

/

about

Written for inclusion on the 1997 'Reversal Of Time’ album, this track hit the cutting room floor as there was no room on the CD!

Ken delivers a great vocal performance and the song still sounds good today!

The original master of this recording was a bit damaged, hence the fade at the start

Recorded November 1996.

lyrics

From out of the desert comes a tall dark man
Wearing the colours of snow
He points at me with a finger of steel
And eyes that wish to know
Eyes that wish to know

He looks at the well, and then at me
And fights back the tears that fall
One man’s greed has left it dry
As he stares at the crumbling wall
Stares at the crumbling wall

What have I done
Please make me see
What’s obvious to him but not me
It was only water or so I thought
But what’s there left for him now
What’s there left for him now
