about

Full on instrumental rock with a decidedly progressive twist. Super fast keyboard runs, emotive guitar playing . . . . it's all here.

‘CRYING TO THE FUTURE’ was the 5th Elegant Simplicity album and was the first to be recorded using 8 track reel to reel recording equipment. Like most of this early work (pre Moments of Clarity), it was all recorded using analogue equipment and recorded in one or two passes. Those were the days!

This Digital Download edition was re-mastered on Monday 07/01/2013 from the original stereo masters, after having undergone a period of restoration.

During this restoration work a guitar based version of the title track was discovered. It was recorded on the same day as the released version (the title track has no guitar!). For reasons long forgotten, the track was not used . . . until now!
